Welcome Franny Foronda and John Segrue!
We are so excited to announce our newest team members, Franchesca Foronda and John Segrue. Take some time to get to know them by reading their introductions below.
Hi everyone! I graduated in 2024 with a master’s degree from the University of South Florida’s School of Architecture and Community Design. I’m excited to continue my professional journey with Furr, Wegman & Banks Architects, P.A., where I’ve been given opportunities to grow in ways that go beyond what academia could offer. I interned for a year prior to signing on full-time and absolutely enjoyed the work that was done and projects that we pursued.
I’m passionate about the relationship between communities and the built environment, and I look forward to continuing to explore the impact of design on everyday life.
As I take the next steps toward licensure, I hope to one day be a resource for students and emerging professionals pursuing a career in architecture. A born-and-raised Floridian, I grew up in Cape Coral. A much smaller town compared to Tampa, so it’s meaningful to have a hand in shaping the community around me. In my free time, I enjoy watching horror movies and crime shows, and when the weather’s nice, you’ll likely find me hiking or spending time outdoors.
- Franny
Greetings! I'm very excited to be starting full time with Furr, Wegman & Banks Architects, P.A. Throughout my internship at the firm over the past 2 years, I've been fortunate to work and learn alongside the very talented and dedicated people of the firm. It’s been a great experience and I'm really looking forward to continuing my next chapter with FWB. I originally grew up in Dunedin, before moving to Tampa to pursue my degree at USF.
I've always had a lifelong interest in architecture and the built environment. This interest was further enhanced by my time at Dunedin High School’s Drafting Program, which I attended for all 4 years. This helped to develop my interest of Architecture into an educational and professional pursuit.
I recently graduated from the University of South Florida with my Master of Architecture. In my spare time I love exploring the outdoors hiking, camping, and kayaking around the incredible waterways of Florida. When not outdoors I enjoy cooking homemade meals, reading, playing music, and wrenching on cars.
Looking forward to the future
- John
