Celebrating Allison Korcak’s 20-Year Milestone at Furr, Wegman & Banks Architects, P.A.

This year marks a significant milestone as we celebrate Allison Korcak’s 20th anniversary with Furr, Wegman & Banks Architects, P.A. Since joining the firm in 2005, Allison has brought creativity, dedication, and a spirit of collaboration to every project and team she’s been a part of.

Reflecting on her journey, Allison shares:

“I am very thankful that the knowledge and experience passed on to me over the past 20 years have allowed me to create spaces and opportunities that positively affect the community of my hometown.”

Allison holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Tampa. In 2016, Allison became a licensed Interior Designer after passing her NCIDQ examinations.

Over the past two decades, Allison has played a key role in numerous projects. A few of Allison’s most memorable projects include The Bethany Center, The Lakeland Ice Arena, Noah’s Landing, and most recently, Hakucho, a Japanese fusion restaurant in Downtown Lakeland. Client Tammy Springer speaks about her time working with Allison on The Springers’ residential “Quack Shack” project and commercial projects:

“Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work with Allison on several commercial and residential projects and the results were always the same… Her designs consistently demonstrated a masterful blend of creative elements, and attention to detail that exceeded my expectations and more importantly made the collaborative process such a pleasure! Congrats on achieving your 20-year professional milestone!”

Outside of the office, Allison is a lifelong bowler, participating in a Bowling League and competing all around the state and even across the country. During her time at FSU, she was on the school bowling team. She was also inducted into the Orange Belt Bowling Association Hall of Fame. Allison volunteers to coach adolescent bowlers and even travels to their out-of-state tournaments to encourage them.

That same spirit of mentorship extends to the office, where Allison has guided many junior staff members into confident, capable professionals. Her colleagues and clients alike speak highly of her contributions and character. Architect and Vice President of FWB, Phil Wegman, reflects:

“Allison’s inner strength and perseverance have brightly shown throughout her time with our firm… with confidence to lead a wide variety of project types within her Interiors field of expertise, and well beyond on challenging multi-million dollar Architectural designs.  Allison is a fearless leader who is able to gently collaborate with project stakeholders, consultants, and our FWB staff with exceptional & thoughtful design skills.  Her ability to listen to the needs of clients and to creatively respond with amazing design solutions is a joy to behold”

Architect and President of FWB, Aaron Banks had this to say:

“Not only is Allison immensely talented and experienced in the fields of Architecture and Interior Design, but she is also an inspiration and a pleasure to work alongside!  Her quirky, creative and clever personality fosters an innovative and fun design environment which ultimately leads to successful design projects that exceed clients’ expectations.”

Congratulations, Allison Korcak! Your 20 years of service have been a source of inspiration and innovation. Your dedication, creativity, and positive spirit have made a lasting impact on our firm, our clients, and our community.
